MEDIA RELEASE: Monday 18 April
See vintage cars, speak to the owners and step back into the golden era of motoring at a classic car show in Westerham.
Owners from far and wide will bring their pre-1970s cars to Valence School on Sunday 15 May for people to admire, plus visitors will enjoy the return of the Car Hill Climb.
The cars will speed up a hill in a thrilling race, although it will be just for fun – no timings will be taken this year!
The event is being put on to raise funds for Valence School in the town, which is a specialist school for children with disabilities.
All money raised pays for specialist equipment, trips for pupils and modernisation of the buildings and grounds.
There will also be an auto jumble sale, the chance to have a ride in the vintage cars, food and a licensed bar.
Tickets are £3 per person (under 3s free) or £10 per family.
Vintage car owners can pay £10 to exhibit and £3 to take part in the Hill Climb, payable on the day.
Tickets can be reserved in advance on the Friends of Valence website: http://friendsofvalenceschool.com/event/classic-car-rally/
The event is open from 10am – 4pm.
Exhibitors can arrive from 8.30m.
To take part in the Hill Climb, please email details of your vehicle to events@valence.kent.sch.uk
