What a fantastic night of fun and fundraising!
On Friday night, we co-sponsored a quiz night for our charity client Holding On Letting Go (HOLG) – and we raised £2310!!
We sponsored the event, a virtual quiz night, with our design partners Mivvy Creative and our goal was to raise £1,000, roughly enough for HOLG to support two families with remote bereavement care.
The amount raised has secured funding for FIVE families and here at Izzy PR, we know the difference their care makes – because we have been in the privileged position of writing their personal stories on behalf of HOLG.
We had 74 teams sign up – so many that we had to close the sales or the quiz master would have had too many to look after!
Hundreds of raffle tickets were sold too – because we had some fantastic prizes donated by our very generous business colleagues and friends which helped them fly out the door!
Not only is the money raised vitally important to the charity, but the sheer number of quiz fans that participated means that even more people know about HOLG and their important work.
It means that if they know a bereaved child, they also know who can help them – and spreading the word is so vital.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity and help of so many people – so, once again, we’d like to thank everyone who took part and bought raffle tickets, the fantastic quiz master, Phill Thorne, from Speed Quiz Kent (SQK) who did an excellent job ensuring all went smoothly on the night and the following businesses and individuals for kindly donating prizes:
