We were thrilled at Izzy PR this week, to see one of our stories in a number of media including BBC London and Evening Standard.
But it was the retweet from Health Secretary Matt Hancock from Evening Standard’s timeline that was exciting…AND he pinned it to the top of his feed too!
The story came about after Sarah got in touch with PA Media, a national news agency that sends stories out to media.
Sarah said: “The story is about a boy in my daughter’s class at school, who has spent lockdown running and rowing from London to Paris to raise money for the NHS. He invited the class to join him on the last few steps up the Eiffel Tower and I just thought it would make such a great news story.
“I got in touch with my contact at PA Media, invited them to the Zoom call and they created this fabulous story that has now been covered across the UK.
“The reason it went so well is because it’s got a great story behind it – and once you have that, the media will be interested.”
If you’ve got a story to tell and need help to write it or share it with the media, get in touch – journalism is in our blood and it’s what we love to do!
